MT4 Platform User Interface Tutorial - Part I

The following components are includes in the terminal.
•    Common Window Heading: The common Window Heading includes the account number, application name, current active chart window name and chart’s time frame.
•    Main menu: The main menu contains the commands and functions that can be executed in the client’s terminal and it consist of following sub menus. “File, View, Insert, Chart, Tools, Windows, Help” menus.
•    Tool bar: There are four toolbars in the terminal, which is Standard, Chart, Line studies, Periodicity. It contains main menu’s duplicated commands and functions. Toolbars are customizable .So user can collect mostly used widgets in it.
•    Market Watch: Market watch contains the currency symbol list and market watch’s commands are allow to controlling trade positions and charts.
•    Data Window: Data Window Shows price information, as well as Indicators and expert advisors imposed and it is not allow performing any actions.
•    Navigator: Navigator window contains Open account informations, expert advisors, Indicators and scripts and it helps to control them promptly.
•    Terminal: Terminal is a multifunctional window and it intended for working with trade positions. It contains news, account history, alerts, internal mails, and logs of the program and of expert advisors as well. Terminal allows opening and modifying orders and managing position of trades.
•    Tester: Tester is used to test the expert advisors and also used to viewing various reports, as well as the expert advisor’s parameters can be optimized in this window.
•    Tick Charts: Basically this tick chart is one of the data analysis tool. It contains price changes and various analytical objects can be located in the chart which are line studies, technical, custom indicator, texts and geometrical figures.
•    Status Bar: Status bar is used in the terminal for addition information visualization. It contains server connection indicator and name of the active template and profile, command prompt and data price as well.
•    Fast Navigation tool: Hot keys, Acceleration key and navigation bars are intended for fast work with the terminals. These keys are used to execute various commands of the program. Fast navigation bar is also used to move the chart along its time base precisely, change timeframes, and the symbol itself.
